Good morning Bill

Quick question for you:

Assuming Hextall does want to move Lacavalier, do you think that there is a deal that can be made in which the Flyers would not have to eat cash or take a contract back in return?

What's Noebels pro career looking like? Time with the big club next year possibly?

Probably not. Flyers aren't dealing from the position of strength here.

Promising rookie year but an awful second season. One thing that worried me when I saw him play with Trenton in ECHL was that he was an average skater even for that level. Skills were otherwise clearly too good for that level but it was worrisome that he couldn't get separation or routinely win footraces against ECHLers. Needs power skating work, I think (wouldn't hurt Oliver Lauridsen either).

Schenn playing with MacKinnon. See, he just needs a winger like that.

Do you know who hextall was referencing when in his press conference I believe he said he brought in someone to work with the young forwards in the organization? Do you think Hexy will shake up the scouting departments?

When was the last time a young player spent significant time (2 seasons) with the phantoms and then came to the flyers and was productive for a significant period of time?

Gus? But his impact on the Flyers thus far has been limited

Flyers have had trouble finding mid-late draft picks. Particularly, defenseman and goalies. Those are the type of guys who need multiple years of AHL time.

First round forwards don't need 4 years of junior/AHL development time in most cases.

Under Clarke and Homer, none. Not even guys like Darroll Powe or Nodl had to wait more than a season and change before getting the bump up.

Yeah, I'd even move him for those old "future considerations" if I could find someone just to take the contract off our hands.

I'd be ok if they got a 4th rounder & only had to eat 20% of the rest of the cash

I think we should ride Vinn for one more year and only trade him if the other team doesn't require us to eat salary.

I agree. VL will bounce back. He played through all sorts of injuries last season. Lets not pull a JVR and sell low again after the injury bug hits. At $4.5 million VL is not a horrible contract right now. jmo

Does it even matter if he bounces back? Even if he does, I don't see where he fits in going forward.

maybe not but after next season he's here for only 3 more seasons never a bad thing to have a vet like him on your team
